The Federation Star is the highest award available in the UFDF and can only be awarded by the current president, the award is only given when the president recognises the actions of an individual with the following criteria, that they performed above and beyond the call of duty that they have shown bravery, valour and self sacrifice and there is incontestable proof that they have performed these actions. |
| Golden Starburst |

The Golden Starburst is similar to the Federation Star in that it can only be awarded by the president the individual must show heroism and self sacrifice under extraordinary circumstances this award is usually awarded to those who have performed extraordinarily well but did not quite reach the Federation Star |
| Starfleet Cross |

| |
This award is awarded for acts of courage, valour, bravery and dedication to duty either in a military capacity such as a war or non military capacity if the situation and circumstances can be proven. |
| Legion Of Merit |
|

The legion of merit is awarded to individuals who have distinguished themselves with exceptional performance and exceptional conduct of there duties and performance of outstanding duties this can not be awarded for military conduct and is the highest award for non military services. |
| Distinguished Service Cross |

| |
The Distinguished Service Cross is awarded to individuals who have shown meritorious and distinguished actions whilst performing in there military duties |
| Starfleet Medal |

| |
The Starfleet Medal is awarded for exceptional valour, courage and devotion to duty but not in active operations against the enemy. |
| Conspicuous Gallantry Medal |
|
| |
The Conspicuous Gallantry Medal is the last Major Award that the UFDF offers it is awarded to individuals who show Conspicuous Gallantry in there actions within a military operation against the enemy. |
| Valour Cross |
|
| |
Valour Cross is awarded to a person who whilst serving in any capacity for the UFDF distinguishes themselves by acts of bravery and valour and actions which go above and beyond the call of duty and has performed actions which require self sacrifice but to a lesser degree to that of which if required for the Starfleet Cross. |
| Red Crest |
|
| |
Awarded to a member of UFDF who has suffered major or permanent injuries while showing extraordinary courage in the fulfilling of his or her duties while defending the United Federation Defense Force |
| Nebula Star |
|
| |
Awarded to members of UFDF Starfleet who distinguished themselves by gallantry and intrepidity in action, but not of a nature to justify the award of the UFDF Valour Cross, while engaged in military operations involving conflict with an opposing foreign force |
| Starfleet Achievement Medal |
|
| |
Awarded to UFDF personnel for outstanding achievement or meritorious service rendered specifically on behalf of the Federation. It may also be awarded for acts of heroism which do not meet the requirements for award of the UFDF Legion of Merit medal. |
| Starfleet Commendation Medal |
|
| |
Awarded to members of UFDF who, while serving in any capacity with the Federation, shall have distinguished themselves by meritorious achievement and service. The degree of merit must be distinctive, though it need not be unique. Acts of courage which do not involve the voluntary risk of life may be considered for the UFDF Commendation award |

Awarded to any member of UFDF who distinguishes themselves by either outstanding achievement or meritorious non-combat service to the Federation. |
| Combat Readiness Medal |
|
